Bidrage med feedbackFour friends for birthday dinner. Our waitress was the absolutely best. Very curious, polite and helpful. It wasn't a floating guy, but we never wanted anything she didn't expect. The shrimps, fish and crabs were very good. And the price was reasonable. 9-20-22, 11:30.
We had a party of 5 on a Sunday afternoon and waited just a little longer than preferred to get our food. The restaurant didn't seem too exaggerated. Other than that, the service was great, thorough, and our server, Ebynie was very attentive and personal. The food also tasted great. We will definitely be back as usual, especially as there are new foods on the menu we want to try.
Came with a big party on the reservation and was sitting immediately. The waitress was friendly and attentive to our orders and needs. It took about 45-60 minutes until the food arrived. After all finished, our waitress disappeared and we couldn't get our tickets for 40 minutes. I talked to several employees to try to pay my ticket so I could go, but they said I had to wait for my waitress. After all, the waitress brings our tickets, but immediately goes before we can pay. Several tickets were wrong and I was overloaded $7 but could not afford to wait longer to solve it. We'll wait 15 minutes before she comes back to collect them all. A member of our group asked to speak with a manager 3 times as cordially as possible before getting out, just to tell us very rude, it is our fault and he went from shaking his head. I've been waiters for over 4 years and this experience has been terrible. The way management treats this must be evaluated. I would understand if they told us if they were understaffed or even gave us updates on the status of receiving our orders/tickets, but they simply did not.
We should 've taken the rude 'welcome ' as a warning. Experience only got worse once we were seated. New to this area decided to eat here for my birthday lunch. Although our waitress was nice, we didn 't receive drinks until after we finished our appetizer. Husband daughter ordered full meals I ordered $5 nachos. Told they were in the window when the other meals were delivered, but it never came. Husband daughter finished their meals, before I asked for my order to be taken off my bill. There were 2 other tables directly in front of behind us having the same issues, had to have other staff find our waitress. Manager never came to speak with anyone about the situations to offer an explanation.
I have been eating at O'Charley's since they first came to Mobile, then they set the bar for others as far as I was concerned. Over the years their brand has changed and i Might say not for the better. You had something that was working and you or some bean counter decided to fix it, bad decision. First it was the dropping of your signature Rib Eye Steak, now when my wife and myself stopped by today, you have dropped the Prime Rib. I said the last time I would not go back, but as they say the 3rd time is the charm. We had not been in a while so we stopped in today, My wife was very disappointed when she was told, no more Prime Rib, well she went for her backup, the Southern Pecan Chicken Salad, I ordered the Bone In Rib Eye, medium rare as that was as close to a rib eye you have now. Her salad was great, my steak, well they brought a slice of a ribeye out, less than 1/2 inch thick, no where medium rare and as tough as a utility grade steak as I have ever eaten. Now, this is no reflection on the restaurant itself, the manager or the gracious staff, they were amazing. This is a reflection on Corporate O'Charley's, you people are destroying yourself. I would pay more for a good Rib Eye like you used to serve and for the awesome Prime Rib you used to serve, but some bean counter is cutting corners for the sake of the bottom line. Like a said, 3rd time is a charm, you can consider me gone. The 4 stars are for the staff and our waitress, awesome.
