Sapphire And Grille - Mississauga

This place is located inside the sapphire village condominiums. We rented a condo there for almost three months. This restaurant was the closest place to eat besides going to red hook. We probably eat there about 35 times. The food was ok, good bar/restaurant food. The burgers are the best specially the blue cheese burger. It's a must have. Now, I do not recommend their fish and shrimp, does not taste fresh. It taste frozen which is a bummer cause it's right next to the beach where lots of people fish. But that's not the reason why I nock down two stars. Why 3 stars? The customer service. Again, don't take me wrong the guy with a pony tail is great. He always made sure that we had a great service, but the girl was completely the opposite. The times I went there to eat and she tock my order, I felt as if she was giving me a favor. Not inviting at all.

Our first night in st. Thomas, the island lost power, and we were starving. Where would we go for dinner in the dark? We walked up to the Bar and Grill, where we were greeted by a friendly bartender serving drinks, and wouldn't you know it, the chef had been putting together a lobster cream sauce before the power was lost, that he threw over some pasta for us, with some crabmeat on top. Delicious! And not even a menu item! The hospitality we were shown was incredible, and they get a great review for that combined with the tasty meal thrown together hastily in the dark. Great people.

So I have stayed at Sapphire Village a few times now and each time I eat/drink at Sapphire Grill. I have never eaten dinner there but lunch and drinks are great! You just cant beat happy hour, however, drinks are reasonable at regular prices as well. The basic food is very good and I've tried several different things.

How could any sane person NOT write a five star review of this fantastic establishment? New owners have brought the best bar and grill on the island to Sapphire Beach! No matter where you are on the island you need to stop by. If you are staying at Sapphire, stop by while doing laundry. Stop by after hopping off a boat at the marina. Stop by after work. Stop by while going for a swim. Just stop by! Ask for Amber, Farmer, Yosef and Captain Morgan. They will take care of you!
