Adobo Cafe - Mississauga

Have eaten here a few times and I am never disappointed. The food is fresh. The chefs are amazing! Such a great variety of dishes with the adobo spin on it.

I was staying over in preparation for a flight out to Cuba and we wanted lunch at someplace besides fast food. I came across Adobo here on trip advisor and decided it looked good to me. All I can say is wonderful! When you walk in at first it seems to be a run of the mill kind of place, but it is anything but. It is an open cafeteria style setting where you can watch your sandwich being made and see the ingredients being used. The kitchen in the back has an open window where you can watch the cooks prep and cook the food. There is a small staff that works with and is overlooked by Charlie, the owner. Everything is fresh and homemade daily. Charlie himself is completely involved in everything that happens here. He was very welcoming and made us feel like special guests instead of just another customer. Adobo is located in an industrial area and was a little difficult to find. It was more than worth looking for! It takes breakfast and lunch and makes them a culinary delight. When you walk in there is a board with the daily menu which is different from day to day. No standard menu here. The choices were Chili Chicken on Rice or a Marinated Pork sandwich. Both come with your choice of soup or salad. We hummed over the chili chicken, so they gave us a sample to taste. The flavor exploded over our taste buds. The choices were made. My friend had the chicken and I had the sandwich. We both chose the soup which was a chicken, mushroom. Everything we ate was excellent! Of course we had to sample each others choices. We liked them so much we decided that since we were staying overnight before leaving on a flight out the next morning, that we would each get the opposite of lunch for our dinners. No take out or chain food for us! Charlie took the time to talk to us about his vision and mission regarding his restaurant. I have to say I was impressed and loved his concept. Fresh, wholesome food at an affordable price with a great taste. You can't go wrong here and the prices are more than reasonable. Next time I am in the area you can be bet I will be dropping by to say hello to Charlie and staying for whatever he may have on the menu that day!

Great food d! Great service! Very welcoming and friendly staff! My best friend growing up and I were having a reunion after many years so we sat and chatted for quite a while after our delicious lunch! The waitress brought us over a couple of their delicious home made cookies! .complimentary!

Awesome variety of dishes everyday of the week. Have not had a bad dish here. Charles always has something very tasty in store. You can't beat this place if your looking for a unique dish for lunch.
