Hacienda On The Lake - Mission Viejo

Overall nice experience. Service was extremely slow and beverages from the bar didn't arrive until well after our meal was served, but the food was good and the view is excellent.

What a beautiful day on the lake. Hacienda has the best location in Mission Viejo. We started with drinks and chicken taquitos. Maria welcomed us and is such a sweet person. We were also greeted by Miguel and Jose, who are both very professional and kind. Pedro was our amazing server and is always fantastic. My wife had the chicken enchilada plate, and I had the chicken enchilada and chile relleno entree. The service and ambiance are stellar. The food is good and always served hot. We saw all the baby ducklings in the lake and truly enjoyed our time together. Highly recommended.

6/9/2024 Had reservations for a nice evening at Hacienda on the lake. We were greeted by Maria, Jose Pena and Miguel upon arrival. Kassandra was our amazing server. We started with drinks and chips with salsa. We visited with Miguel and Jose and spoke of our recent vacation. Great people. Kassandra took our entree order which was hot and tasty once delivered. The chicken enchiladas, chile rellenos, rice and beans were very good. We had two rounds of drinks with our favorite tequilla drinks. The ambiance is stellar. Highly recommended

I chose this place for the view and the closing time but they don't close at 11, the restaurant closes at 9 pm and the bar at 10 pm. Although they tried to be friendly and tried to give us time (we arrived almost at 8) in the end they asked us to go to the bar to finish eating and we did feel the pressure when they were going to close because they constantly told us that they were going to close so take precautions with the correct time and schedules.The view is very beautiful, the lake looks nice, and the environment is comfortable. We had 3 waiters due to the change of shift and space so the service was a little variable, most of them friendly but we did feel that it was urgent that we pay to leave on time.The meat taquitos were very delicious, the flan was good and I ordered a mango margarita with an acceptable flavor but I feel that for the flavor and size the price was high (17 dollars). Parking: Ample free parking space.

While this restaurant has a nice environment with the lake, we made the mistake of coming for Mother’s Day. When I made my reservation, I confirmed with the host that they were still serving their regular brunch menu. When we arrived this was not the case. Any brunch perks had been removed from the Mother’s Day menu and the breakfast food items were limited. The manager informed us that they were unable to make anything but what was on the menu due to time constraints. This experience was very disappointing and we would have chosen somewhere else to celebrate if we had been informed of the menu change.
