Bidrage med feedbackWhat a lovely and surprising little gem of a spot. We are staying at a villa across the river and went looking for somewhere to eat last night after dark. This spot was a wonderful surprise. The service was good and the food (lime margaritas and two orders of the “2, 2, and 2” shrimp dish were delicious. This was the best meal we’ve had in our five days in the PV and Mismaloya area. Our entrees each came with 2 garlic shrimp, 2 bacon-wrapped shrimp with pineapple, and 2 fried coconut shrimp, plus a bit of fresh leafy salad, a bit of mashed potatoes, and a bit of veggie rice. Everything was tasty and well-seasoned (we’ve found most food in the region to be under salted and under spiced for our taste, with the exception of street food, which has been delish! . There is no paper/written menu here, just the opportunity to look at a bunch of raw meat and seafood on a tray (beef skewers, shrimp, fish fillet, whole red snapper, lobster, etc. and pick which items you’d like (there are about ten food menu items total . The margaritas were delicious, fresh, and not overwhelmingly sweet. Heads up, because there’s no printed/written menu, you’ll need to ask about the pricing, if that’s a concern. We found it reasonable—not inexpensive, but not pricey; definitely a good value for the quality of the ambiance, service, and food. Each entree We got was 380pesos and each margarita was 100pesos. The complementary nachos with refried beans and cheese was a sweet little surprise. We were also given bread with our meal. The place felt clean and comfortable. While we were there, three of the four other tables were all blonde, English-speaking folks from the US/Canada/UK. We are an interracial Latino pair of bilingual Spanish speakers from the US, but the server only spoke to us in English. As we were wrapping up our meal some other Latinos arrived, which was nice to see. Anyway, our experience here was lovely. Highly recommended!
We wanted to find a restaurant that was unique and family-owned and this place was exactly this! The restaurant was a hidden gem located on the third floor of their restaurant. We got there before sunset and our host took our orders immediately. Tony was the host’s father and the restaurant was clean and quaint. There was no menu and we were presented a selection of fresh meats and seafood. We each made our selection and dinner was prepared! We had a great time and this was one of our favorite meals of the trip!
We didn't know what we were walking into at Tony's, after receiving a rec from our Hotel Concierge. But, WOW. This place is truly a diamond in the rough. You walk into 2 floors of sand with greenery surrounding you. Great drinks, even better food. The menu isn't written, but is a tray of seafood offered to you in any format you choose. The fish is fresh, the service is great, and Tony himself is hustling alongside his boys. We loved it here and cannot wait to show our family and friends when we return!
Found Tony's by chance a year ago and went back with a bigger group this year. Still a great place to have fun and good food. Tony and Jr. are very nice. Margaritas are excellent and the food, seafood especially is excellent. We had a group of 10 and everyone raved about their meal. Easy to get to on the Orange and White buses. Only 10 pesos each way. Up the street from the 2 tequila tasting places. Worth the trip.
We were brought here on a Puerto Vallarta Day Tour with Riviera Tours. Great open air restaurant ....loved the décor! The seafood was so fresh and the sampler platter was excellent! The prices were good! We all enjoyed our lunch very much!
