Château de Mirambeau

The restaurant is beautiful. In a wonderful castle (you can check my review of the hotel). But the food was not amazing, and relatively tasteless. Had 2 diners there. Twice the same Gastronomic menu! Once the service was too fast. Once it was by far...too slow (3h for a 3 meals menu) Definitively improvements needed. Potential is huge

Incredible, absolutely not deserving a Michelin star. Food not very special, nothing creative at all. But what is worse the menu offered, a 2 or 4 course menu with 2 choices for every course. If one can get a star with such a limited offering,...i.e. not showing what the chef can deliver (like in a canteen) I would check my Michelin inspectors. Service ok, but no personal attention. Wines compared with other restaurants I visited this holiday very expensive. Yes the location, the ambience is very special, but first of all I was coming for the food, which was just not good enough for the rating the restaurant has.
