We won't go back there again. We ate once in house and it was mediocre and then we decided to do takeout and they left half of our order out of the bag and they didn't care, so there are a lot better places to eat Mexican food than this restaurant. First timer here! I’m used to American style Mexican food smothered in cheesy goodness. I’m guessing this is more authentic Mexican food. I ordered a beef quesadilla and it was super small like taco size, along with rice beans and salad. It was decent but not amazing. I expected the quesadilla to be larger. My daughter ordered chicken poblano and she liked it. I really appreciated the attentive service and the atmosphere. The Mexican restaurant I normally have been to has put creepy skeleton pictures on the walls, so I‘be been looking for a new place. Taxco atmosphere is colorful and cute with authentic table decor. I loved it. I will give this place another try and order something g different. I hope to be able to update my review with 5 stars after another visit with amazing food.

Taco is a decent Mexican restaurant tucked away in Matthews. There aren't too many other options, but this is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area.
