Vegan East - Minneapolis

I found Vegan East looking for a vegan cake for my daughters 16th birthday. This place had so many beautiful cakes and pastries, it was hard to pick! I ended up getting several things and my daughter loved all of them.

I was delightfully surprised with my turkey pesto sandwich. The deli meat is actually from The Herbivorous Butcher (if you haven 't been there, definitely check it out), and when my sandwich was ready, I was delightfully surprised to see a perfectly crisp and warm panini in front of me. It was delicious and filling, and as an added bonus, the staff were incredibly friendly. I was too full to add on anything else to my order, but they had a really nice selection of vegan

It's fine. Nice atmosphere, good location. I was really excited to try Vegan East. When I asked what they recommend and what they liked at the register I didn't get much of an answer so I got a sandwich for lunch and 3 desserts to bring home and try later. The turkey sandwich was really hot and dry and didn't have much flavor. The cookie dough cupcake was fine, not good but fine. The texture and flavor was really just like a really sugary frosting not really the cookie

Great food, and service. Stopped in today and had the turkey pesto sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup and both were delicious. Also grabbed a piece of carrot cake to go, can't wait to dig into that..

Nice place for vegan desserts. Staff were so friendly and nice. A quaint little place for when you have a craving for sweets. The burger could use some veggies to complement the mock meat's texture.
