A really Minnesotan diving bar with great character and music. The regulars are friendly and complement the charm of the bar. Parking after 9PM was easy to find on the streets and only half a block away. The parking clocks are only set to 10PM, so if after 9PM the parking payment machines are switched off, which is nice. Many people go around in this area so it feels safe and is well lit.

The best comedy open mic on Thursdays hosted by Corey Nelson. It 's a true crossroads of talent and could easily be labeled as the First Ave of Minneapolis underground comedy.

Fav dive bar! The bartenders are great! Love the different kinds of whiskey. They have a small Jimmy's menu with delicious pizza and breadsticks. Popcorn and other good dive bar snacks. The schedule has different kinds of events all week. Tuesday for Karaoke is a must go for the week. It has great sound, excellent DJs like Sam, and a lot of fun. It has a stage with lights for singing, or you can choose to sing from the floor. They have Mrs. Pac-Man, pinball, and darts as well.

I go just for the 6 hour marathon of Open Mic comedy every Thursday from 6pm-Midnight (sometimes later! It’s a one-stop shop to see over 70 comics in town in one spot for FREE! It doesn’t cost anything to sign-up and you get as much as 7 minutes of stage time. The gracious hosts Brooks and Corey Nelson make everyone feel welcome. Cash bar only and they have an ATM.
