The Bad Waitress Coffee Shop

Visiting the restaurant during covid, it was a little weird because there was no (bad) waitress to take your order ???????? However, like before...the food was delicious. We ordered French toast with strawberries and blueberries, chicken and waffles,and milk shakes! Definitely love coming to the restaurant for some awesome breakfast!

They have a unique approach to ordering, wherein you scan a QR code at your table and place your order through the associated link, and the food gets delivered to you as it 's rest. It definitely reduced the whole they 're waiting for me to make adecision anxiety that other places have, and frees up the staff to be productive in other ways. The food was also solid--good, classic diner fare that came out nice and hot.

It breaks my heart to say this but this place just isn't special anymore. I used to live in the neighborhood, I'd been there easily thirty times, it was my favorite breakfast in Minneapolis. In the years since, they've remodeled and overhauled the menuand now all the charm is gone. The new corporate owners were listed on the bottom of the menu and that's how it feels now:corporate. Sanitized. It used to be a vibe, now it's a brand. The portions were never generous but they got smaller. Not asingle unique or interesting item to order. But it was still pretty yummy and reasonably priced. Staff were great. If I hadnever been here before I would've had no problems.

The name says it all. Ordering online and having the servers bring out the food is a great concept, but they don't seem to have the process down. We both ordered separately at the same time. Beverages came out, one meal came out and the other one wascompletely overlooked. This was during a time where there were 3 tables and 3 wait staff, so I'm not sure of thedisconnect. The food is average. Nothing special here. Large portion, but mediocre food. Lastly, there is a 16% service feeand that fee doesn't go to the server. What? So for non-wait staff service you automatically pay 16% and then you have theoption to tip the staff. Not sure why anyone would work here. I won't be visiting again. There are better food options.

Great service! Really liked the mobile order experience. Super easy for split checks since everyone places individual orders through their own phones. The Nicollet coffee is super yummy!
