Prairie Kitchen & Bar - Minneapolis

I made a reservation for 4:30 pm and received a confirmation that it was available and confirmed. However, upon arrival, we found that the bar was closed until 5:00 pm. This was very disappointing.

The restaurant only offered bar service with a limited food menu. The prices were high and there were only two waitstaff members available.

Attended event at convention center and stopped by for a bite to eat. Enjoyed the ambience, drink selection, dinner, and dessert. Will definitely come again.

We love Prairie Kitchen and we ate there 3 times this past weekend. The employees are always helpful and friendly. The price is always a bit on the high side but to us worth it to bring out of town guests and have locally sourced food. The problem this weekend was a couple of quality issues in the food. We ordered cheese curds and entrees and several other 'sharables ' for dinner and it was all brought out together which was fine. But then about 5 min later they brought out the curds saying, they almost forgot these. Not sure what happened but EVERY single one was an empty fried shell that the cheese had escaped from. Disappointing. I feel this should have been caught in the kitchen since they were visibly 'well done ' and had open holes. Another meal had the cheese melted away on the nachos and when asked if they could bring a salsa or pico sauce for dipping in, a bowl of watery hot sauce was brought which didn 't work at all. Minor issues in all but when you make a place a destination for the food you expect a certain level of quality. We will give it another try since we do love the hotel and the theme of the restaurant, but already checking nearby eateries in case problems persist. thank you for you time.

Food came overcooked, twice. Send it back once, the next time I just ate the salad and left the meat. My friend's food also came overcooked.
