FLAMEBURGER - Minneapolis

So many people talk about the poor service they get here and I just don't get it. I grew up in the area and have been coming here since this place was an Arthur Treacher's Fish Chips and have always been at a minimum satisfied with the servers. Sometimes the burgers are done more than I've asked for but really that is my only beef ;-p maybe its our expectations and aura when sitting and ordering that helps. These servers work long hours and deal with some crazy stuff from clientele especially in the late hours so starting out with a smile and friendly words for them sets you on the right path. I love the old-school atmosphere, and how you can come as-you-are any time of day ir night. The burgers are good--not gormet, just honest burgers with a mountain of fries (though not as much as the ridiculous amounts back in thenday that coved the plate and burger. . Breaksfasts are just like youd expect walking in--nothing fancy, just solid food. Hashbrowns are top-notch though!I love this place and hope they are around for my kids-kids to enjoy!

Another GREAT Burger. Walking into Flameburger I knew I was in for a treat. Great old school ambiance with no pretentious décor or snobbery. Just good honest food that does all the talking for itself. Our waitress was delightful, prompt and attentive. Speaking as someone who worked in food service for many years she was TOP NOTCH! Very reminiscent of one of my favorite hamburger places from back home in Florida called Schoops. One warning, glad we split an order of french fries the portions are huge and my beef was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested.

Great little dive. Love this place. Good food. Clean tables. Friendly staff. Burger cooked to a perfect medium rare. I'll be back. It's food that will make you smile.

Quick dirty greasy spoon. OK, so this place isn't going to win any awards for its cuisine or ambiance. They do have a letter of thanks from the American Pharmaceutical Association in recognition of their contribution towards increased sales of cholesterol-controlling drugs.<br/ <br/ What you will get is good friendly service and cheap, tasty burgers, hash browns, and breakfast fare, all available 24 hours per day. Adjust your expectations accordingly, make sure to have a roll of tums in your pocket, and you're sure to be satisfied.

I've eaten at Flameburger for decades and it's always a wonderful experience. So delicious. This visit I started with a chocolate malt, made from scratch with premium ingredients. I had the special Flameburger with cheese and bacon. With fries cooked just right at the perfect temperature that they are not greasy at all. The taste of a flame broiled burger, served up quick, is nothing I can duplicate at home. No wonder Flameburger is a classic go to spot. I can't wait to go again.
