Bidrage med feedbackVisited here today for lunch with my dog. Not purposely came here, happened to be here when we looked for a place somewhere quiet and was not crowed but a nice outside seating area. Service was quick and friendly. We like the outside seatings the most. It faces north and doesn't have sun, but it's great when the weather is too hot for us and your dog! A bit too windy but more refreshing than eating in a crowded place. If you like to eat outside in a quiet place without the scorching sun, although it's near the Hamamatsucho st., this place is recommended, as the place is located between buildings and the main street is 100 meters away. The food was good. Please see the photos attached. We hardly eat German food in Japan and today the lunch was kind a fun experience. Bratkartoffeln Sauerkraut Leberkäse Bratwurst taste very good : We ordered an extra Sauerkraut. Danke!
For the price, the quality of the food isn 't quite there. I paid around 8000yen for 2 beers and a meal. The beer was good and was either actually imported or brewed to an acceptable quality, as well as being served in brand specific glassware. The beer, at least, gets a 4/5 (cost bringing it down a notch, expect to pay around 1500Y for 500ml). Unfortunately the same could not be said about the food. Firstly each dish comes on its own which makes a meal quite expensive, and secondly, it was very average. The meat (Schweinshaxe) was reasonable, but the potatoes were undercooked and the sauerkraut was just dreadful. The venue is nice, with relevant decoration, but much smaller than I expected based on the photos I was scoping out the place for a larger group event but it was immediately obvious that it doesn 't really cater for groups larger than 4 people, even without COVID concerns. The ambience was also not quite bierkeller and more shopfront cafe with most of the tables along huge windows overlooking the sidewalk and street outside. Service was friendly and prompt, as to be expected in Japan.
Big German beers and sausages in a cozy bar sign me up!
The Franz Club of course has great beer. They feature beers from Munich's Spaten brewery. It also has great service. Besides the beer, the food is also very good.
Portions are not too big, should come standard with some fries or baked potatoes for that price
