This is a very traditional place to eat in Mina Clavero, has a great view of the river and was considered the best place to eat Chivito and other traditional meat / lamb / pork cuts. I don't think it's the best option anymore. Prices... have blown up and the whole menu seems overpriced given the quality of food. It still seems to be a family-run business, but nowadays more tourist traps, at least during the winter break.
Charged $560 for a chevito that was no more than average. It was recommended as the house. Seriously? There is much better food in a block at half price.
Mina Clavero has no shortage of very good restaurants. We ate at 3 and were all very good, with different strengths. We like to eat early and we went to this restaurant because it seemed to open the first. You...had a daily special “Baby goat” (we think we have lamb) but it was excellent. The dining area was not as neat as it could be and did not have much ambience even though it had a nice fire burning. Our waiters were especially friendly and despite our almost total inability to communicate (English/Spanish) they seemed to go with us and we all had a good food. Your side of the Papa Frites was flavored with something and were excellent.
