Vino Volo - Milwaukee

The restaurant was incredibly busy today, but the service was surprisingly quick. I want to especially commend the staff for recognizing who arrived first in line, especially since a very entitled woman attempted to skip ahead for water and became quite upset about having to wait for just a minute. It's likely she's writing a "poor me" review as I write this. The staff maintained their composure, and I hope they continue to do so!

This was the final establishment to close in this concourse. The bartender is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Feel free to set whatever hours you wish, but is it too much to expect those hours to be posted? It was 6:20 on a Wednesday when I arrived, and the sign outside clearly stated "open for dine-in" with a "seat yourself" option. I settled in and waited for about 10-15 minutes (which was fine with me). However, someone eventually came by to inform me that they were closed except for "to-go wine." I was disappointed but thought it wasn't a big deal; I could just grab a salad from the place next door. Unfortunately, by that time, it seemed that the only other restaurant with food had locked its doors. Thanks, Vino Volo!

Hello, I’ve been visiting your Oakland airport Vino Volo location for months now. I fly in and out of Oakland twice a week and this has become my routine stop. Warren, you server here, is phenomenal. He’s always in a great mood and very professional and accommodating. He knows when to be chatty and when to let the guests just relax. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for over twenty years and would steal him away if I could. He knows how to treat your guests and is very knowledgeable about your offerings. I’m hoping someone can pass along some kudos for him as people like him in service are rare. Thanks Warren for the always awesome charcuterie and cheese boards! My Malbec was awesome as usual!
