South Shore Inn - Milwaukee

A decent looking bar off the shores of Lake Michigan. This is a tiki bar with plenty of space and a nice yard patio with apartments right behind it. One of the most underrated bars and a hidden secret in the Milwaukee area

This place is great. We stumbled upon it one night on the way back from the extreme south side, and it was an excellent find. It has all the vibe of an up north tavern you 'd visit during hunting season, but all the moxy of a place in a moderate sized American city. The owner is hilarious. Two ladies came in for a pitcher of Miller Lite (totally reasonably priced), but when they asked to have a couple of bucks knocked off the price, the owner says, You 're on Lake Drive. Not Packard Ave. Touche! Of course, they stayed and all were soon fast friends. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Makes you feel extremely welcome. Quaint and cool.

Bob is the BEST bartender ever....always have a great time. It is like going to Cheers (the old TV show) .

We use to go here every time we where in town. In October we took my mom and headed to bobs. While sitting there my mom and I decided to drop a couple bucks in the video casino game. Lo and behold we hit for $277. When Bob came over he stated he didn't have the money can we come in next week. That would have been fine but we live in Il and were leaving the next morning. Bob opened the machine gave us $100 and asked if he could mail the rest to us in a week and half. Because we had been here a few times and have talked with Bob we felt we-could trust that he would honor his word. Well 21/2 weeks went by no check. My husband called Bob to see if the check got lost st in the mail or what. Bob stayed he liked us and wouldn't stiff us he would mail it the next weekend. Well here we sit 2 months later and no check. We gave Bob our name, address, and phone number witch he put in a money bag. So I guess Bob is just a liar and thief. We will defiantly never be back there and advise all our friends and relatives that live in the area to avoid this tavern.
