SALA - Milwaukee

We were in the mood for Italian last night and picked the Sala coaster from the City Tins can, and what a good choice it was! Located on the East Side near

I was looking forward to visiting Sala as I hadn't been in a few years, through no fault of the restaurant.

I wanted to be impressed with Sala, but they just fell short in some areas. The service was exceedingly slow, which I account to the dining room being

SALA is our go to restaurant. We can enjoy an exquisite dinner or stop in for a hand tossed pizza and be totally pleased.  The Chef's specials are always inventive and delightful. We also enjoy the wine selection with new choices often presented.

This is our favorite restaurant. We enjoy the food and service every time. Often we sit at the bar and visit with other patrons which is fun. The Starters are all so delicious: Grilled asparagus with prosciutto, carpaccio, eggplant with sauce or their chef's special creation and then there is always the scallops! Dinner menu has good choices including the salmon with the Italian salsa on top, not to mention the many specials we tend to try. Its the real deal at SALA!
