Let’s start with the positives. The food was excellent, and the bread was particularly delicious. My wife really enjoyed the Beef Cheese Burek, and my chicken dumpling soup, while a bit lukewarm, was still tasty. My Veal Provence was also very good. However, we did encounter some issues after placing our order. Our waitress—who might have been the hostess due to her elegant attire—did not check on us, which left the owner scrambling to ensure we received our drinks and meals. I understand that the restaurant was busy, but the three additional staff members should coordinate better with the owner to ensure that patrons consistently receive items like bread, water, drinks, soup, and salad. This approach would help engage guests while the kitchen prepares their main courses.
Roast goose. Best meal I have had in North America!
We ordered a take-and-bake burek, and it was just as delicious as we remembered from our many visits to the restaurant in the past.
We used to eat here years ago when we lived in Milwaukee. While in town for a short visit, we decided to stop by again. The old-school atmosphere is just as wonderful as we remembered. The food was fantastic, and the Burek alone makes the trip worthwhile.
