Bamboo - Milwaukee

This restaurant is excellent. It's definitely worth the trip. The food is light, refreshing, and well-spiced.

Stopped in while I was in the area and I'm so happy I did! I have never been here before so it was great to see how diverse their menu was. There are a lot of offerings for everyone (including vegetarian options) and they're really accommodating with spice levels if you like it really hot or prefer something more mild. We tried a few things, including the pad Thai, kow piak, and the pad lad nar. I'd say we were super satisfied with everything except the pad Thai (it was just really oddly acidic, very tomato-y, and too dry). I'd have to try it again though because other review photos looked delicious and saucy, so it might have been because we took it to go and it got dry by the time we ate it? Either way, The kow piak was good though, very simple and filling. Adding lime and a bit of chili oil helped kick the flavors up a notch! The pad lad nar was also great, but I wish it came with a bit more noodles. Overall though, I was definitely satisfied and would come back!

Great food, good service, busy place, lots of take-out orders on Friday night. Vegetables were all crisp and colorful. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options

Milwaukee is home to some fantastic food finds, and Bamboo is definitely one of them! My go-to dish is the chicken red curry, which is always consistently delicious here. The flavors are top-notch every time.

Came in to eat as a party of 3 adults and 1 baby. There was a hair in the egg drop soup and when it was brought to the waitress’s attention she first looked at me (Afro Latina) and my baby (Afro Latina). The waitress immediately said it was the baby’s hair by the look of the strand and because my baby was moving around that could be how the hair got there. The soup was located on the other side of the table away from the baby and my daughter was seated in her highchair. Instead of taking the plate away to possibly correct the problem the waitress argued about the hair not being hers and was adamant that it was my baby’s. I will not be returning to this establishment. It was blatant racism.
