600 East Cafe - Milwaukee

I am from New York region, so food in Mid West usually doesn't impress me. But this one wasn't bad. I wouldn't rave about it, but it was consumable and I don't recall being ill afterwards.

I have visited 600 East Cafe at least a half dozen times since it opened and it is a welcome addition to the Downtown Milwaukee lunch scene. There is large menu of salads, wraps, sandwiches and coffee. They also have a Grab-n-Go section. In addition, I did not notice soup on the menu, but a friend of mine inquired and sure enough, they had that too. They have a few breakfast items as well, but I have never visited in the morning. You walk up to a counter, order and pay and the food is delivered to your table. It is a great place for takeouts as well if you prefer to take your lunch back to the office. I have enjoyed the salads and an occasional wrap and the food is fresh and delicious. I have taken several friends to 600 East Cafe and they were delighted to find this new deli as well. The restaurant has a walk-up window to grab a coffee from the sidewalk on your way to work. Great Place!!!

The salads at 600 East are made fresh to order and are always good! This is a great place for co-workers to grab a salad or sandwich and hang out for lunch. The food is consistently good. You walk up to the counter, place your order and pay. You are given a number and your order is delivered to you when it is ready. Everyone is very friendly and they have outside seating in the summer. This is a great place for the downtown working crowd!

I love this place for coffee in the morning and for lunch. I like that this place Is close to where I work. They have a great selection of coffee and i really like their sandwiches and salads. Their black iced tea is great!

This is a near perfect place for a quick and healthy lunch. You order at the counter, get a number, and they run the food to your table. I got a salad. It was great veggies were fresh and the dressing is always on the side. It's a little more expensive than what I typically look for in an everyday lunch place, but for being quick and healthy, I'd go back. Oh and it was also nice to get some decent iced tea on a hot day.
