Popped into Carlton House club for lunch after Thursday market. Can’t believe how tasty and generous the 2 course set meal was, especially for the money! Drinks very reasonable and somewhere warm to be on those cold winter days approaching. Don’t need to be a member to eat there, so pop on in and try it

Always good steaks at the Carlton. The food and beer is well priced and nowhere else in town shows sky and has bad games available. Would definitely recommend a membership!

Sunday Takeaway this time and again, a great experience. 3 roast beef meals delivered to the door within 5 mins of expected time. Everything piping hot and loads of it. Beautiful well cooked beef and chunky veg. Tremendous value for money.

Opening up after the lengthy Covid lockdown, I wasn't sure what I would find. Really needn't have worried as lots of thought, action and much effort has been put in to ensure the safety of customers. Full table service for drinks and food is now the norm and the staff seem even more enthusiastic getting away from behind the confines of the bar. Very pleasant experience. We took advantage of the mid day lunch which is value beyond value at 2 courses for under £6. My wife had sausage egg chips with me going for the mince pie which came with veg and new potatoes. Good platefuls, cooked to perfection and followed by deserts (1 ice cream 1 apple crumble) making it a welcome break from the problems of the country. Absolutely delicious and an often to be repeated experience.

There's a quiet members bar, a lounge bar, and a lively bar, something for mist peoples preferences. Food is home comforts, reasonable snd tasty
