The Birch - Milton Keynes

As a regular diner, I was disappointed with the starter I chose at this restaurant. It consisted of an oversized portion of rocket salad with two small slices of smoked salmon and lime cream fraiche. I found it underwhelming, especially considering the price of £8.50. I hope the restaurant can maintain their high standards in the future.

We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was outstanding, served at a leisurely pace, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

As always the whole experience with lunch with friends in The Birch was excellent, from our arrival to departure the staff are polite, professional and fun, the food is excellent, for our group of seven friends it is the only place we meet to enjoy a catch and lunch....Please don't change a bit.

The food was good, but the service was very aggressive. We had a reservation for 5 people, but they tried to seat us at a table for 4 and insisted we should have a drink instead of waiting for the 5th person. We had to insist on being seated at a table and waiting for our full party to arrive. Overall, the food was good, but the service was lacking. It was quick, but not very accommodating.

Driven past many times..never been in. Decided to book an evening out with friends. Being a vegetarian I was surprised to see so many different dishes on the menu..spoilt for choice for once. Absolutely delicious....a bit slow on getting the drinls but other than that food, wine, atmosphere and staff....faultless!.
