Good Friend - Milton Keynes

We order from the good friend 3 times a year when we’re working in Milton Keynes, it’s location is convenient to where we stay. Over the past few years it’s been ok, occasionally good. Last Saturday we ordered the beef chop suey which was inedible. The veg could only be described as soft mush, after one taste it went in the bin. After a long day working, we were too tired to return it, in future we’ll use another take away.

First time using this Chinese-recommend by a friend-I will definitely order again. Easy to order online-food delivered by a friendly chap who I had to call back to take a tip. Lovely hot food- overall very pleased! Thank you.

I ordered and paid online for delivery. I then got a call from someone telling me I live too far. I was told I will get a refund but I have to go there to get my money. It was the only money I had. When I told the person I cannot go there he hung up and told me he will talk to the manager

We have ordered from this restaurant a number of times in the past, but the quality over the last couple of visits has rapidly declined, with today being the worst ever. We will no longer be ordering from this restaurant ever again. Placed my order online for delivery at 7:25. No sign of any confirmation email or delivery by 8:30. I rang them and was told to 'wait a minute ', after 5 minutes of hearing other conversations going on in the background but no response to myself, I hung up. Waited another 20 minutes and rang again. Was once again told to wait. Eventually got to speak to someone who could only hold basic conversation and tell me '10 more minutes '. 25 minutes later our food arrived, with a vague apology of 'we 're very busy tonight '. Driver was very polite and it 's not his fault but the service from the restaurant was dreadful. No discount offered, full price charged despite being messed about. 2 hours to get food from a restaurant that is a 10 minute drive from my house! No customer service or care. The food itself was fine, pretty standard, but far less enjoyable due to the stress and the fact I am having to eat it at 9:30 at night! I would avoid this restaurant at all costs if you want to be treated with basic decency. So rude!

I ordered on line put no confirmation email arrived. I booked a specific time for delivery but it arrived 40 minutes late and not as hot as I would have liked. When I phoned to advise about the delay they seemed too busy to deal with my complaint. The quality of the ribs was questionable. It was either a very old pig or the ribs had been reheated. Either way we couldn 't eat them. Fortunately more competition is opening regularly so after many years always ordering from 'The good Friend ' I will go elsewhere next time
