Saravana Bhavan - Milpitas

My love for SB is from childhood. This Milpitas location was awesome once upon a time but Not anymore. Got served cold non crispy Ghee Roast Dosa!! Had to ask them to take it back. Got a decent one next time!! Just barely managed to pass the taste test. Size of their Vadai has gotten way smaller! Average Tasting chutney or Sambar not the SB I grew up in Chennai relishing them. Service staffs or the manager have no smile or friendliness but still can gain some personal touch if you talk in Tamil. Overall, wasn’t a pleasant experience.

It was a great experience. Service was par excellent. Service was quick and they were keep checking on us until we got our food. Very friendly and professional staff. I would surely recommend this restaurant if you are a real foodie.

The food we ordered was pricey but below average in quality. The Sarvana Special Dosa came with at least 2 whole raw chilies chopped finely and sprinkled inside, making it difficult for us to eat (with no indication of spice levels on the menu). We spent a considerable amount of time picking out each chili, but it was not worth the effort. The curd rice in the executive thali was almost spoiled. However, the service staff was friendly and courteous, and the service was prompt.

One of my favourite South Indian restaurant that left me in awe of its authentic food and impeccable service. Usually Indian restaurants here in states do not offer good service but it was our great experience visiting this restaurant. The staff members are attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to guide you through the menu, making recommendations based on your preferences. They take the time to explain the ingredients and cooking techniques, ensuring that you have a memorable dining experience. Their bhatoore was too good. I would surely recommend people to try their chole bhatoore.

The food at this restaurant was average and included a selection of dishes from South India. The atmosphere of the restaurant was average. The service was satisfactory and the staff was polite. If you're interested in trying South Indian food, this restaurant could be a suitable choice, but don't anticipate anything outstanding.
