Ben Tre - Millbrae

I tried the #21 combo at this restaurant, which included baked five spice chicken and a separate bowl of pho noodles. The baked five spice chicken was outstanding - crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside.

We are big fans of Ben Tre in South San Francisco, as we live nearby on Grand Avenue. The food is hands down the best Vietnamese cuisine we have ever had.

I have likely tasted the best Vietnamese cuisine outside of Vietnam at this restaurant. Having visited Hanoi and Saigon, I am a discerning food critic and hold high standards for my dining experiences.

One of the best pho? I had in the bay. perfect recipe and eating was very environment.

The bun bo hue lacked flavor and needed more richness with the absence of fermented shrimp paste and chili oil. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating was available, and they accepted card payments, unlike many authentic Asian restaurants that only accept cash.
