Toshi's Teriyaki Grill - Mill Creek

The best teriyaki I've had in recent memory to be expected of the main Toshi's location! Wonderfully moist and tasty chicken teriyaki with just a little bit of searing that adds an additional crisp and smokey flavor. The restaurant itself is certainly no frills, but I find that charming and authentic in teriyaki joints!

It's good. A little truer to Japanese Teriyaki than I'm accustomed to. Was super excited to find out the original cook that started Toshi's was cooking at the Mill Creek location and took the first opportunity I had to try it. Tried the original chicken. Got there a little after 6 and was the last order of the day they were out of food and closed right after me. The chicken is excellent great flavor and not over cooked. The charcoal grilling gave it a nice smokey flavor I liked but my wife thought it was overly smokey. They do a cabbage slaw instead of a simple salad, it's was good. The sauce is thinner than most but great flavor. Definitely want to try more of the menu, the food was well executed but wasn't better than many other places.

Saw the Everett Herald article of 2/8/2022, was in the area, stopped in to try it out. Toshi's meat supplier is top notch the beef is like sliced steak; the chicken is tender and of excellent quality the best meat of any of the teriyaki joints I've patronized. Meat was cooked to perfection; not swimming in sauce, he let's you adjust how much you want with the included cup of sauce. Rice was not too sticky, and slaw was, again, perfect just enough dressing. Real, real good!!

This place sparks my love for teriyaki… after a whole life hating on it. So there you go. Best teriyaki in my entire life. Wow, just wow.
