La Filetteria Italiana - Milano

I researched La Filleteria after receiving extremely positive review from my peers. I found the Republica restaurant which suited the location we wanted and booked for 2 people for a Saturday night. This was mine and my partners anniversary, so I wanted it to be a special night for us. We had received a confirmation of my booking via email on the Monday so thought all was straightforward. You can imagine my dismay when we arrived at the restaurant to find it completely shut?! We even called another establishments, who knew it was closed, but could not accommodate us that night. The fact that that restaurant is still being advertised, and even sending out confirmation emails is complete gross negligence to customers. And when I emailed my complaint over, they didn't even bother to reply. Terrible communication and customer care!

Professional staff and very kind service. Food was delicious, however our idea of medium rare is slightly different from the chefs. Our first time eating crocodile meat. Definitely recommended, but beware this is not a traditional Italian experience.

Wonderful place located in Milan 's Centro Storico . Very friendly and polite staff, eager to explain (in English) all dishes and selections. Clean and new tableware, but the main advantage of this restaurant is its dishes! Tasteful bbq fillets with variety of unique sauces. Fresh salads, burrata (stuffed potato) and marvelous desserts! We tasted canolli and tiramisu with basilico topping (superb) you won 't believe what an armonic experience... I strongly recommend it!!!

Cibo non eccellente, filetto zebra e canguro duro (caldo medio), buoni contorni! Servizio cordiale.
