Brunch Kiva Cafe - Milan

After a really long day out in the field on a hot day, my colleague suggested this location because we were starving. It absolutely hit the spot!! The coffee was delicious esp the food. The waitress was super nice I even had discussions with them that it's my first time there. They recommended me food after I said I love birria tacos. They kept filling our beverages told us to take our time. I'm definitely taking my friends family here.

Walked in, no one greeted us, sat ourselves, the server just stared at us for a couple minutes before bringing us menus. Brought us drinks, didn't return for a good 10 minutes later to take our order. Took our order and a few other tables together(we were the only people that walked in at the time. One other table already sitting down and eating) the other tables got their food out first. Didn't come back to our table at all to check on us. Had to even ask a different server for our ticket. Our food sat in the window for a good 20 minutes as well. Do not recommend at all. Seriously had thoughts about just walking out several times

Well, this place has pretty good food. They charge for chips and salsa, and the salsa was good. We got fried bread, that was good. Fried indian taco was ok, and the birria taco was good. The place was warm inside, like sitting outside. No one greeted us, and I had to ask if we sat ourselves. Our waitress was negligent on her service with us. I had to go to the counter to remind them for our drinks and salsa and chips (that we pay for). Once we got our food, the waitress never came back to offer refills. No customer service. The young lady that was the cashier looked as if her top lip stank, she needs to be put in the back way back. I'm not talking about the taller, slim young lady. We did not leave a tip because it was very bad service. Since we didn't get refills, we asked for to go cokes, and they wanted to charge 3.50 for each. We told them to keep it

Nice clean diner. Good service, good portion sizes. Tasty food at a great value. Stop in and check it out!

We got there when they just opened. Food was amazing and just what we needed after 14 hours overnight non stop and still more to go. Definitely can't find food like this in Kansas City.
