Sumo Sushi Hibachi - Midland

Just left Sumo and drove across the street to Burger King after paying a $81.00 tab.Chef pulled cart to table as a party of 5 walks in, chef turns around and wheels cart out and asks hostess to set them at our table (We had finished soup and salad at this point setting with empty drinks).20 min. Later the chef reappears and starts cooking. He scorched the food including the rice and was not eatable. Not wanting to cause a scene, we paid and went for a BK chicken sandwich.

Ordered take out through Uber. Not sure if locally no one knows what good sushi and hibachi food actually tastes like to warrant the high ratings but this was literally worst. Every item we ordered tasted terrible. Lo mein was mushy with weird flavor profile, sesame chicken was soggy and tasteless, spring rolls mushy, soup well idk if that taste resembled soup, and the kids shrimp hibachi was overall bad. Not to mention the rainbow sushi roll. No variety of fish, mainly avacado on top with just white fish and some pale unidentified fish that made me throw the roll in the trash.

My favorite. Small, tucked away in a shopping center and WONDERFUL. The waitstaff is so great, the food fresh and amazing.I have been there 4 times now, and it is my go to place when I travel in all the way from Alpine, TxI don't even know what else to say except yum Pink Lady Roll and yum Naruto roll!!!!!!! I have also had the Lobster Roll...amazing!!Ps, the lady who gave this 57 year old lady a balloon for my successful use of chopsticks, you made my day!

We went here with the kids for Valentine's day. We had such an amazing dinner. The staff gave the kids balloon animals and small little toys. The food was delicious! The best clear soup in Midland! You have to try the apple sake wine, its so good.Food: 5/5

We have been many times but actually did the hibachi this time. The guy who prepared our food was very friendly and entertaining. The food was also better than our past visits. I assume being cooked right there made the difference. It's definitely the best we have tried in town.Food: 5/5
