Pickles-a Deli - Middletown

I never write reviews, but this is worthy. This is the second time? ve tried to go here at the lunch break at work. The young lady behind the counter was constantly rude! The sandwich was cold, and she maintained that we didn't ask for a soup when I heard the whole phone call. She's either lying or having a hearing problem. The first time we went here, she mocked my employee with a ?well, hallo!!!!? when she went through the door and said she was there for her exit. This girl must be lost her? A bad representation of the company.

Some of the best sandwiches we had. I also have pasta salad and macaroni salad, amazing.

Not the same under new management. Smaller sandwiches, lower quality, limited menu, higher prices, cultural change. No recipe for long-term success. After 20 years, I'm out.

Had to wait to get my order which was phoned in and sitting there. The staff was to busy talking to each other. Can't give them less than 4 stars because the food was fantastic. My wife had clam chowder and the roast beef on a croissant. She ate the chowder and one bite of the sandwich and had to save the rest. I had the Italian grinder. I'm a big eater and couldn't finish it. Tasted great and had a ton of meat. Great value and extremely reasonable price.

Sandwiches are made to order. The BLT was very good- nice amount of crisp bacon, excellent ratio of lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The Syrian bread on the grilled cheese wasn?t a great combo for me. I would have chosen regular bread. Overall, pretty good! Would go again.
