Dragon Express - Middletown

I'm really disappointed. The only vegetables in my Szechuan tofu were peas and chunks of carrots, along with some raw onion, which may have come from the fried rice. That fried rice had the same limited vegetables and was a bright neon yellow—without any egg. How is this considered Chinese food? There were no bok choy, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, snow peas, broccoli, water chestnuts, peppers, or sprouts—none of the usual staples. That said, the food, given the ingredients, was well-prepared. The tofu wasn’t fried, but it was added at the right time, so it held its shape. Nothing was burned, overcooked, too salty, or greasy. It was just a disappointing meal that was still competently made.

I dined here for the first time and overall, the food was served hot and tasted good. However, I was not impressed with the portion size of my Mongolian Chicken. The box was packed with rice—far too much, in fact—and I only received about five thin slices of chicken, along with a lot of onions and peppers. I definitely feel that they were stingy with the meat; in my opinion, it should have been at least doubled.

Wow! This place is absolutely DELICIOUS! I've ordered from Dragon Express twice now, and both times they delivered ahead of the estimated time. The food was incredibly tasty on both occasions. The staff is very kind and never rushes me when I call. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their orange chicken, and they have one of the best sweet and sour pork dishes anywhere. I can't get enough! WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had, if you want real meat this is not the place to go, also the “wonton soup” tasted like straight dish water. Eat at your own risk.
