Just ordered for delivery and I called to make a substitute and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and very unprofessional.
This is not the Subway we remember. My daughter LOVES Subway’s meatball subs and since we finally got some coupons in the mail for the first time in so long, we decided to treat her for dinner. We walked in with NO LINE! WOO HOO! That almost never happens at Subway (should have been my first clue). The employees were respectful and efficient the whole time (the reason for the only stars I’m giving). However, when we try to order, bummer. Out of meatballs. We were disappointed, but hey, I had a coupon to get three subs, so fine, kiddo, I’ll pay $6 for a turkey on bread. But then I get to the checkout. What? No coupons? Sure enough, there was a sign that I passed right over. Middlebury Subway no longer accepts coupons due to “hard economic times.” The guy behind me was surprised too. He turned right around without ordering! Wish I could have done the same, but my sandwiches were made so I had to pay full price. We might have returned with more coupons later this week, but now, we’ll be eating at home or going to Taco Bell. Coupons are an incentive to get people in your store! Now, we won’t be coming at all. You’re losing customers and money, so I hope you rethink this policy.
This location has been severely struggling with staffing for at least a year that I know of, but they always try. The hours of operation have changed several times because of staffing issues so I call ahead to verify that they are open that day. This week I wanted to try the new menu. I ordered 2 sandwiches which were prepared by two tired but very friendly employees. Very delicious!!! Thank you very much!
