Bidrage med feedbackI frequently visit Rushfields cafe for coffee or lunch, but I have to say that on our last visit, the coffee was terrible. It was bitter and the frothy milk was almost non-existent. It seemed like the older woman making the drinks was either stressed due to being busy or having a bad day. The menu really needs to be updated as it is very limited and has not changed in many years. It appears that they are content catering to their regular customers, but with a bit of creativity, they could easily expand their offerings.
Bad service, bad decor, bad dilapidated toilets. Lots of staff but no one to take your order ! Very unprofessional… we left the caffe and had a wonderful lunch elsewhere.
Third time I've been here to eat. I go to the garden centre now just for the food, specifically the bacon bap. Think it's the best I've ever had. Not sure how you can improve on it. Chips were perfect and Sausage bap was also good (but not as good as the Bacon). Even the ketchup is classy, no Heinz here! 11 out of 10.
We visited Rushfields Garden Centre (twice in same week) for walk around the garden centre, followed by 'brunch ' and 'lunch '. On both occasions, we were served by extremely polite team members, nothing was too much trouble especially for me (in a wheelchair) and wife (being Gluten intolerant). When we next return to mid Sussex, we will be re visiting Rushfields Garden Centre and the Cafe. Anyone visiting the local area, we highly recommend you visit this location!!
The service was a bit inattentive, with one waitress directing us to our table and another finally taking our order after a 10-minute wait. I guess that's just how they operate.
