New York Coffee Club - Mid Sussex

I strongly disagree with the negative reviews left here previously. The restaurant has seen a lot of staff changes over the years, including a new manager who has worked his way up from being a Barista. The staff are friendly and well-trained in providing excellent service and delicious Barista-style coffees. Despite the constant flow of customers, the staff remains polite and courteous. The restaurant could use a new look, likely delayed due to the pandemic, but it is well-maintained and clean. It's a great place to relax with coffee or hot food, with free wifi and clean restrooms. I prefer this Costa coffee shop over others in town, as the food is served hot and the coffee is higher quality. While there has been a slight price increase, I still find it to be good value for the overall experience. I enjoy the variety of hot food options, including seasonal items. I am excited to try new menu items from Marks and Spencer. Thank you to the hardworking staff at the East Grinstead Costa coffee on London Road.

This is not the same coffee shop that I frequent for a relaxing coffee most days. The pictures shown here do not match my local coffee shop in reality. The staff at the East Grinstead branch of Costa are excellent. I find the coffee here better than other nearby coffee shops. The food is served hot and is superior to options at places like McDonald's or Wetherspoons in East Grinstead.

We like coming here and the recent makeover has improved the atmosphere. However, they are very poor at clearing and wiping the tables so the place looks uncared for. Also, I agree with other reviews that the staff should try to smile as it does really go a long way to improve things for everyone!

Hi me and my friend went to get some drinks other day we wanted cream n marshmallows They was so rude Aswell am they didn’t even listen to order then my friend orderd a drink n cake and her cake didn’t even come to the table when we tried to go back up there they knew we was there but started serving the next costumers rude as they need stop being so rude Next time remember our order and stop talking about us to.

Very slow service, a smile wouldn’t go a miss, tables not cleared, coffee served and spilt by barista without apologies, no wipes to clean up, more interested in making sure pick up orders are ready rather then customers in shop, nearly left, nice cup of coffee
