Bidrage med feedbackWe are regulars at the Ring of Bells, and it's high time we wrote a new review. This traditional local pub just keeps improving. It's rare to find a place these days that is filled with happy people and lively conversation, but that's exactly what you'll find here. It's the music at this establishment that sets it apart. How many times have you left a restaurant wondering how they managed to do that or saying you've never tasted something like that before and it was amazing? The prices are also very reasonable. Binka Craven has created something special here. Despite the lack of an obvious car park, the place is always packed. Let's hope it remains undiscovered by mainstream critics like Michelin so we can continue to enjoy its charm.
The friendly and laid-back village pub is a gem for food lovers. They offer a great variety of ales and the service is prompt with a professional and friendly landlady and staff. My friends and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch, with a vegetarian option available. The prices were reasonable and the pub is dog-friendly. We feel fortunate to have this pub nearby.
This restaurant is nearly perfect. The staff is very friendly and went above and beyond for us. The food our group ordered was all fantastic. We were able to bring our dogs because we heard that the pub is dog-friendly, and they got along great with the pub's dog. The atmosphere for Sunday lunch was really relaxed and enjoyable. The parking was a bit difficult, but it was worth it. I believe all of the staff, both in the front and back rooms, deserve praise for their hard work. We will definitely be returning, especially for the delicious sticky toffee pudding.
Superb food and service at this lovely Devon pub. Could not be better. Great local beer, and good wine list. Menu was really interesting and all 10 of us were impressed. Also good value, for such high quality. Every dish would be happy in any fine dining restaurant. I loved it!!
We visited this pretty, thatched pub for Sunday lunch and were met with a warm welcome, despite being quite early for our booking! The young staff were smiley, friendly and very efficient. As it was a sunny afternoon they set up a table in the lovely garden for us. The food was simply divine. The crab linguine starter was perfectly portioned and a good balance of flavours. The rib of beef we had for our main course was meltingly tender, the accompanying vegetables beautifully cooked and presented. My daughter had the slow cooked pork, which was devoured before I could try any! I didn't really have room for pudding but the chocolate and cinnamon pots were too tempting to miss. Served with mini churros, they were sublime. The landlady keeps a selection of local ales, Telus A Story was particularly good. All in all, a perfect Sunday lunch at a pub that masters everything a really good pub should be. If Cheriton Fitzpaine wasn't 200 miles away we'd be here every week!
