Leña Al Fuego - Michigan City

There is no waiter and you have to place the order yourself at the window, they confused our order and as the guy was bringing the food to the table shouted “TALK TO ME, TALK TO ME!” I simply replied, “it’s not my food” he took the tacos to the correct table and said “I guess people don’t talk”. The other problem is that the food was very over priced for the quality. The meat was very fatty and I took a picture of the fat in just one torta. The same man that brought us our food told a different family “I did a good job so you’re going to tip me, right?” Just plain rude

If you are looking for simple but tasty Mexican food, I've found just the place! I started with their great guacamole and chips with a pineapple Jarisco soda. Then came the Chile's rellaños, seasoned rice and refried beans. Two giant(! pablano peppers were stuffed with melted Muenster cheese and onions and lightly fried. The place had just opened for the day so it was pleasantly quiet sitting in the unstuffy dining room enjoying my meal. The staff was kind, friendly and respectful so if you need a break for shopping at the outlets, stop in and enjoy a good meal. ¡Gracias!

Hungry, didn't want a hotdog, didn't want to leave the mall so came here and was pleasantly surprised. Food is all prepared to order, steak pork tacos were very good. Wife had a burrito which was huge and good. Prices were reasonable but everything is a-la-cart.Food: 5/5

Great authentic food with a great price to match. I got 2 chicken tostadas heaped with toppings, chips, guacamole and a coke for $10. Everyone I talked to was super nice. Order at the window and grab a table. They will bring it to you. I’m so glad I stopped in!

I have never noticed a Mexican restaurant this side(center) of the mall. I picked up 2 steak tacos Mexican style. It was reasonably priced and delicious. I have tried a few tacos from others in Michigan City, this place stands out. Service is fast and friendly. The tortillas were soft and steak is flavorful. My son said it was deliciously different with each bite. I’ll be back to get a few more.
