I have nothing but absolute great things to say about this place. Came here for the first time 6-9-2019. Jamie and Drew were the best bartenders very attentive and always there to refill my beer. Let me just tell you I was told to try the bbq pulled pork mac and cheese and I legit had happy tears before I even took a bite. Just the aroma of this pie omg. Had me salivating. It was so creamy and delicious but very filling. Which is fine I'll take it home and eat it for breakfast. I honestly can't wait to go back to try more food. With great service and affordable prices take my word for it. Put it on your places you visit. Oh and did I say they have pool tables and darts... What!!! What!!!

Local Option is a bar that not only offers a great selection of drinks but also serves some of the best deep dish pizza you can find in the area. If you're on the hunt for a true Chicago style stuffed pizza, look no further, but be prepared for a couple of drawbacks. The pizza at Local Option is top notch. It's reasonably priced considering the generous serving sizes and the variety of toppings available, and they offer some unique Pizza of the Months from what I saw last time. A 14 inch pie probably weighs in at a hefty five pounds, offering excellent value for your money. The BBQ pulled pork stuffed mac and cheese is another must try dish, albeit incredibly decadent and filling almost too filling, if there's such a thing! However, as much as I enjoy the food, there are a couple of significant drawbacks. Firstly, they don't offer delivery, so you have to pick up your order. While the bar is relatively nearby for me, the fact that they allow smoking inside makes the pickup experience less than pleasant. The smoke was so bad last time my friend had to step outside for air while we waited. Secondly, there doesn't seem to be any dedicated hosts or takeout/wait staff. I've occasionally found myself waiting awkwardly at the bar until a staff member notices and brings my order. The lack of an online ordering system for pickup is another inconvenience, as you have to call in to place your orders. In conclusion, Local Option serves up some truly delicious Chicago style cuisine, but their pickup experience could use some work. If they could separate the dining experience from the bar, perhaps by having a dedicated pickup area and staff, it would go a long way in enhancing the overall customer experience. Despite these drawbacks, the food is compelling enough to make me return, albeit not as frequently as I would if the pickup process were more streamlined.

Very unique place. The bar top is large, U- shaped, wooden, and the well-padded seats are regular chair height (not barstool height). So you don't climb up on to the seat, you actually sit down. The bartenders floor area is about 2 steps lower than the floor in the rest of the building. This still keeps you and the staff at eye level. Around the bar are several high top tables with the usual barstools. There's a second room where the pool tables are located. I haven't tried the food yet but do intend to in the future. Karaoke was featured the night I was there. Overall a nice place with reasonable prices and a friendly staff. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Just a bar that people smoke in...ugh Did not know at the time. Food was good but don't like cigarette smoke since I quit. But that is just me. Nice place for a bar and the pizza was good.
