This charming taco spot offers delicious food and excellent service. The seasonal guacamole was delightful, and the carnitas tacos were tasty, though the portion was a bit small. Kimberly was incredibly helpful and provided fantastic recommendations, which really enhanced the overall experience.
Next, we sampled some tacos from the happy hour menu as well as a few items from the regular menu. We tried the following: - **Carnitas**: Pork confit with white onions, cilantro, and salsa verde. - **Al Pastor**: Roasted pork marinated with guajillo chile, served with white onion, cilantro, and pineapple. - **Baja Fish**: Beer-battered Mahi Mahi topped with pickled red onion and chipotle mayo. - **Chicharron Pulpo**: Fried octopus chicharron accompanied by pico de gallo and marinated lettuce in jalapeño mayo. - **Rock Shrimp Tostada**: Featuring rock shrimp, beer-battered toast, chipotle mayo, radish, micro cilantro, and yuzu guacamole. - **Crab Meat Tostada**: Crab meat blended with cucumber, red onion, avocado puree, and aji mayo. All the dishes were decent, but nothing really stood out as exceptional.
We ordered several items from the menu, but nothing really impressed us. We ended up leaving half of our food. The prices were a bit high, especially once you factor in the service charge, but I suppose you're paying for the location. The drinks were decent, but I don't think we'll return.
The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious, and Laura's friendly service made the experience even better.
