The food is consistently fresh and beautifully presented. The prices are reasonable, and placing an order is a breeze. The pickup experience is friendly as well.

During my visit to Miami, I happened upon this restaurant while craving Chinese food. Given the name, I expected to find Vietnamese dishes or influences, but to my surprise, it offered authentic Americanized Chinese cuisine. I ordered fried rice, shrimp with broccoli, cashew chicken, and beef lo mein. The portion sizes were ample, and what stood out the most was the fresh-tasting shrimp and the crispy, vibrant broccoli. The sliced beef in the lo mein was tender, and the noodles were cooked to perfection for my liking. As a Taiwanese person living in Southern California, this was a delightful surprise. It’s the best Chinese food I've tasted in Miami so far, and the prices are very reasonable. The dishes are not overly greasy, salty, or starchy; if anything, I'd prefer a bit less salt due to personal preference. Overall, I'm very pleased with Mekong II and will definitely return.

I have to say, my experience at Mekong II was really disappointing. I decided to order based on the positive reviews, but that turned out to be a big mistake. The beef with broccoli was overly salty and had a strange fishy aftertaste. The garlic chicken was just breaded balls with hardly any chicken and no hint of garlic or honey. The rice appeared old, and the spicy chicken wings were far from spicy. To make matters worse, they didn't even include any spicy mustard packets. It was a huge letdown and definitely not worth the $70 I spent.

Small, take-out, delivery and small dine-in space. The food is good and the portions are generous. They are willing to adjust your preference including heat, no MSG, etc. Some off-menu requests can be filled, such as ribs in black bean sauce, chicken feet and the like, I was told. For that, be sure to call ahead for availability. I ordered three items, small wonton soup, small special fried rice and an order of boneless bbq ribs. It was ready in 10 minutes, I brought to my office to eat. The food setting is my own, they give you foam paper plates and standard plastic ware, as well as the usual condiments and accompanying fortune cookies and fried wonton. Be sure to ask for Hot Oil, or Pepper Oil. It is delicious! Plenty of left overs for lunch tomorrow.
