Bidrage med feedbackThe staff was excellent and the service was top-notch. However, I found that paying $25 for just six pieces of ravioli, without any sides, didn't feel like a good value. I'm just trying to provide some constructive feedback, and I hope they take it into consideration.
The focaccia was a bit sour, but overall it was still enjoyable. The bruschetta was acceptable. The prosciutto and cheese platter was somewhat controversial. The menu mentioned pecorino cheese, and while I did see a cheese that resembled it in color, it was not the salty flavor I expected; it tasted more like manchego. As for the parmesan, I was hoping for Parmigiano Reggiano given the price of the platter, but it seemed to be Grana Padano, which isn’t bad. However, the controversy lies in the fact that you used high-quality ingredients like Prosciutto di Parma alongside cheap items such as two types of low-quality cheddar cheese and pre-sliced salami with pepper that lacked authentic Italian flavor. Additionally, instead of using your fresh bread, you added packaged toast to the platter. There are fantastic Italian products available; please utilize them, especially considering you are charging $28 for a platter where the Prosciutto di Parma was the only standout item. I’m not trying to be rude; I just see potential for growth. The black risotto was rich in flavor, and the rice was al dente, which is commendable since it may not suit everyone’s taste, but I loved it. I also tried the pomodoro sauce; it was decent but could definitely be improved, as the pasta did not fully integrate with the sauce and appeared almost entirely white. The tagliolini resembled linguini more, but it still had good flavor. As for the carbonara, it’s often a controversial dish in Italian cuisine, but I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. My only criticism is that I found some pieces of overcooked egg, but that’s something that can be easily fixed. Overall, the carbonara was excellent. The rigatoni bolognese was fine—not amazing, but good. Unfortunately, we didn’t have dessert, but we did have coffee, which was disappointing. In an Italian restaurant, the coffee should be perfect. I ordered an espresso, but it was watery and lacked flavor, tasting more like American coffee. This review is not coming from a place of arrogance; it reflects what I, as a regular Italian restaurant customer and someone who appreciates great food, expected. You have a goldmine of potential, but you’re very close to achieving authentic Italian pasta flavors. I hope you find this feedback useful.
Excellent food with generous portion sizes that are sure to satisfy. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is friendly. This place is a hidden gem in Kendall. With new owners and a new chef, the menu features a variety of delicious dishes.
I stopped by this restaurant for lunch with friends after an event in Miami, and we ended up spending nearly three hours sampling what felt like the entire menu. I was truly impressed! I even had a chance to speak with the owner and compliment him on featuring Burrata Pugliese on the menu. We chatted for a while, and he shared insights about his trips to Italy, the significance of the ingredients they use, and the importance of finding the right chef and servers to bring everything together. With a few bottles of wine, plenty of laughs, delicious food, and some great stories, it was a fantastic experience. I will definitely make it a point to stop by every time I visit Miami!
I went to celebrate my sister's birthday with a group of ten, but unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. We waited an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. The waitress mentioned that the chef was behind schedule, but we were essentially the only ones in the restaurant at the time. Overall, the service was disappointing, and to top it off, they automatically charged an 18% tip. This is not acceptable; tips should reflect the quality of service, and in this case, it fell short.
