Bidrage med feedbackCame to Prime 112 in Dec with husband and my relatives that live here...I loved the food...everything was great except for 1 thing ...we all felt that we could not leisurely sit and have our meal..We felt we were being rushed out of there...the waiter kept on asking if we were done with our meal...while we were still eating!!!! Considering we spent over $500 you would expect a restaurant like that to be a little more patient with its customers...
Prime 112 is exceptional in every aspect of the word. From the crispy bar bacon available to the mouthwatering Kobe beef. The lunch menu is a nice change of pace. I have been there a hundred times and never had a bad meal.
We come to Miami 1 week every month and this is ALWAYS the first place we go after we arrive. The bar is always bustling and the folks at the bar while busy are always attentive. We usually get there late and have little or no trouble getting a table but we prefer to dine outside. Reservations are a must for indoor tables most of the time. The servers are efficient, talented and friendly. One even scurried off to their sister restaurant Nemo to score a cigar for one of our friends. There is one individual (male) who can be somewhat condescending however. People watching from an outdoor table is unsurpassed and the line of exotic cars out front rivals a Barrett-Jackson auction. Don't trust that the valets will keep an eye on your exotic out front despite a rather hefty fee for parking it there. We had to verbally remove an individual from the bonnet of our car one evening while the valets just watched. Indoor dining is chic-upscale and very bustling. Hence the motto “modern steakhouse . The food is insurpassed. Simple yet elegant. Truly one of the best filets I have had. Always cooked to perfection and flavorful. There are several sauces to choose from. The lobster bisque is truly the BEST we have ever had. One would swear that they put an entire lobster tail in each bowl (and they very well may). My wife loves the salmon which is some of the best as well. The sides are eclectic and huge. They can easily be shared. Our favorites are the black beans and rice, and the mashed sweet potatoes. All in all a great place with great food, large portions, consistent as can be, with service a level above what we are used to in South Beach. Not to be missed and to be enjoyed again and again.
I was SO disappointed in this restaurant. After all the reviews and the LONG wait, we were greeted by a bitter hostess. Then the service was terrible. The food was good, but I’ve had better.
The atmosphere was terrific, very hip Miami Beach, but a reservation is a must. The steak and sides were great. A fun night out.
