Bidrage med feedbackThe welcoming was really nice and friendly. The waiter, a young lady, very helpful and kind. We ordered the Schwäbischer Zwiebelrostbraten (roast beef - a local specialty) and a Rumpsteak. Meat was tender and tasty. Very convenient if you are shopping in Metzingen and want to eat properly. Nice German beer too .
Das Schönbeins hat auch nach einem Pächterwechsel nichts von seinem Charme verloren. Es ist gemütlich. Die Preise üblich und die Bedienung zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Es ist immer wieder schön dort in gemütlicher Runde zu sitzen.

We were staying in Metzingen for 3 months and regularly visited this place. The food is consistently fresh and delicious and our hosts Jürgen and Victoria would always welcome you warmly with knowledge of the area and local wines. I highly recommend Schönbeins for and formal/informal drink or meal.
Kleines Restaurant (nicht negativ gemeint), netter Kellner (wahrscheinlich der Chef), Rumpsteak leider nicht Medium wie gewünscht, Preis Leistung für Metzingen akzeptabel.Für ein Bier trinken i.O., mehr aber nicht.
