Bidrage med feedbackWe had a business dinner here, and couldn't have had a better experience. Wait staff was appropriately attentive and responded to our request for quicker service. The menu was extraordinary French cuisine, and our group tried a wide variety of items with no one disappointed. First course of foie gras and rabbit meat jelly were particular favorites. Lobster risotto and duck breast were the hits from the main course. The lemon raspberry cake was superb! Be sure and catch the view of the back of Saint Stevens Cathedral when you exit. And be sure to walk through and see the quirky animals made from silverware all through the restaurant.
The restaurant was recommended by the reception of our hotel and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent for every dish we had .The chef came several times to talk to his clients .We sat outside , the weather was lovely ,staff friendly, only thing I would change is the parking lot and the umbrellas. I would separate the parking lot from the terrace with a fence and gate so cars are no longer visable when sitting outsite and I would remove or close the umbrellas so when dining you have a nice view on the cathedral. Food perfect, ambience, a bit of work to do.
My husband found this restaurant by looking at pictures of food on the Internet. We made a reservation and were promptly seated on arrival. We do not speak French but the wait staff did their best to accommodate and try to translate the menu for us. We ordered the beef medallion, which was cooked to perfection, the crawfish and truffle dish, escargot, and a raspberry dessert. All were fantastic and enjoyed on the quaint outdoor terrace. Highly recommend!
Checked this place out before going to Metz alone on business but thought it was out of my league. Tried to go to two others but both shut so went to have a look. It is top dining and you could really push the boat out if you wished - there was a bottle of wine costing €30,000 on the menu!I speak no French but thankfully an English speaking waiter came out to talk to me. I had the menu of the day costing €30 and some local wines were reasonably priced. What a meal, what a place - I can't fault it. The relaxed friendliness of all the staff who were 100%. I ate outside with a view of the Cathedral ( Foi Gras etc) on leaving the owner showed me round the inside and treated me to a glass of Champagne.Fantastic
Please allow me to introduce: "La Ville De Lyon"!58 Years on this Earth tought me the quality of Chefs. "Stars" are very relative to me, as you can imagine. On the evening of August 15th 2017 was a complete surpise to me, gastronomic, detail, flavour, fresh, well educated and natural staff (very important), empathic......It was simply perfect! Compared to the colleague restaurants in Metz, this one makes a human and very tastfull differance. Please convince youreself and communicate this to your members, readers...It's something you cannot withhold them.My compliments to Chef Georges, you and your team are simply an artists!Thank you very much!Anastasia & Walter
