Stella Wood Fired Bistro - Metro Manila

It was deserted when we went for dinner and I thought it might be a bad sign. But service was attentive, serving time was short and the food was great and reasonably priced. Definitely try the chorizo pasta and the truffle mushroom wood-fired pizzas. Wine...was good, though the cocktails from next door Rocket Room were pretty awful.

Almost all the food we ordered were good, except the crispy pata. The tapa salpicao was unique and good! The crispy pata was a disappointment. Although it was quite crispy, it tasted bland. It was obvious that it was not marinated and seasoned like the...crispy pata we know. The condiment that accompanied the crispy pata was white vinegar which didn't help. Maybe vinegar with soy sauce, garlic and black pepper would help in enhancing the bland taste of the dish.

The menu had a lot to choose from and honestly I wanted to try a lot of it based on description. But I settled for the beet salad and chorizo garlic spaghetti. The salad was fresh and a nice way to settle in for the...pasta. The pasta was a huge bowl with chorizo and tomato but what I remember most is the garlic. Very heavy on the garlic but somehow for me it was still balanced and very tasty. The pasta itself was a nice al dente without being over or under cooked.

Had my lunch out solo just to have a break from piling workload. Going around the BGC High Street (Taguig) scouting where to have a relaxing respite to recharge my senses. Got curious with this restaurant; led myself where I can seat comfortably. No one...from the throng of servers noticed me. Checked their menu on the web instead while having that idea to transfer to adjacent restaurant until suddenly I chanced upon a server passed to approach a group of diners who arrived 10 minutes later. Called her and she guestured to mean, wait a minute while approaching the group. Finally, she gave the menu and instructed her to give me the bill after serving the food. Bill came ahead, food was served (creamy mushroom fetuccini pasta) but there 's no table napkin. Asked the lady if this is a self-service restaurant and she asked why? I said, please... If ok with you, can I have a table napkin please? Ate my pasta which really tasted fairly well and left after paying

I love the ambiance and the service of the staff. Everything I ordered was oh so gooood! This is a good place to catch up with friends because the music is not loud and the place is not crowded. By the way, you can cross...order from the restaurant beside it, the RocketRoom.
