Bidrage med feedbackFOOD: I ordered the sinfully tasty humba with banana slices, which had a satisfying flavor and the right balance of fat to meat. The brown rice served as a staple food complemented the dishes well. The chopsuey with a crab stick twist was delicious and packed with fresh and crunchy veggies. Although the fish was a bit dry, it was not oily. The dishes were a bit pricey but the quality and quantity were worth it. SERVICE: The service was quick and efficient, resembling a canteen-style experience. The highlight was when our server got the rice straight from the rice cooker, adding a touch of joy to the meal. Thank you for the great service!
My hubby has a check up appointment in St Luke's Medical Center that's why we were able to dine here. There are various food selections: Filipino, Chinese, Italian/Mexican (pasta and wraps). We ordered Shrimp Wanton Noodles and Beef Brisket Noodles for lunch plus 2 mineral water. Our bill was Php 485. For me, its quite expensive already considering the serving size of the noodles. We ate around 12.30pm and by about 3pm, we're hungry again. The taste was just right, similar to Chowking noodles taste. The beef though was quite tough. For the snack, we tried their sandwiches (chicken, apple, walnut sandwich) and wraps (chicken ceasar wrap). Both were delicious and quite big size. Though for the chicken ceasar, the ceasar taste was very thin, almost nothing. But I like the chicken and bacon combo included in this wrap. Due to its serving size, I think this can be eaten as lunch. For this plus 2 bottled water, we paid Php 480. There are other food selections that I find interesting to try. Maybe we'll be back soon.
DOH and St Luke's should take action regarding this restaurant. This morning, around 7:30 am, the place was dirty, the food seemed old and not properly cooked, and to top it off, the cashier was racist. I do not recommend this place to foreigners or Filipinos. If you value your health, I suggest staying away from this establishment.
I tried most of the local dishes at this restaurant and really enjoyed their soups. The place is very popular and can get crowded, so it's best to try to avoid the busiest times. There is a seating area around the corner from the entrance that is not used very often. Be careful when ordering raw tuna, as it may not be as safe as other dishes on the menu. I recommend sampling a little bit of everything to get a taste of the local cuisine without having to travel far from our accommodations at the Clinic. The only downside was the lack of a smile from the serious young lady behind the counter.
