FOO'D by Davide Oldani - Metro Manila

Treated our mom to somewhere fancy for Mother's Day. We got their 3 course meal for Php800 per person. The ambiance was simple yet elegant great for family gatherings. They served us appetizers bread with seafood zest and cream cheese. 1st: Cipolla Caramellata - caramelized onion slice2nd: Chicken and Prawn - falling off the bone tender chicken3rd: White Tiramisu - not too sweet but it was good You can customize your meal at additional cost.

I had the 4-course tasting menu, but upgraded the second course to the sea bass (versus pork iberico) and i was overall impressed. Starter dish of caramelized onion with gelato and cheese was absolutely delicious. The desert of lemon meringue with lettuce gelato was also quite memorable. Impressive interiors, gives a Manhattan modern fine dining vibe. The per dish explanation of the chef as the dishes arrived added an extra touch of class. They have free flow prosecco nights. Good idea for a classy girls night out.

We chose this establishment because we read about it in a restaurant guide, and we did not regret it at all. We recommend to make a reservation as the locale isn't big. It invites to a cosy, yet classy dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish.We opted for a 3 course meal which was excellent. Each dish was explained when delivered, and the staff was very attentive and service was excellent. I cannot identify myself with complaints mentioned in other reviews in regards to service, food presentation or cutlery.I would recommend a meal here. It is a pricey establishment, but for the experience I would say it is worth it.

I ordered the four course tasting menu. Aside from the too earthy cabbage gelato, everything else was perfect.

Place is behind Shangrila Fort hotel and located in a strip of restaurants. Make sure to book in advance for reservations.Food was excellent. Presentation and high quality food. Each dish was explained upon serving by the chef. I assume by the assistant chef.Service was excellent too. Price is around 2K pesos per person.
