Union Special

An awesome breakfast place to go. I had the Union Egg Sandwich and definitely recommend it. I also tried the cinnamon roll and it is worth the calories!

Great artisan bread! The Turkey Reuben is very good with Gruyere and Kraut!

Good coffee, pretty great chicken salad sandwich. If you're into classics being reinterpreted and being delicious but different, this place is for you. The quality of the food provided is quite good, even if the grits or Reuben or any of the classics might not be what you remember. Check them out, and enjoy a new twist on old favorites.

Union Special is literally one of the best places in the triangle. I have yet to eat or drink something from here that wasn't one of the most amazing things that I've ever eaten. Everything feels clean, safe, and welcoming including the staff. They are sweet and caring even when they are busy, which is often. I could honestly eat here every day.

Long time eater, first time reviewer, and it is because the Vegan Sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. Not just best *vegan* sandwich, but best SANDWICH. Bread is perfect, veggies perfect, the tahini spread was insane. This is going to be my new go to sandwich. Truly unreal.The coffee and pastries are always great- the chocolate chip cookies in particular : But holy smokes y'all- that sandwich was unreal.
