Ristorante Filippo - Metairie

Restaurant filippo never disappoints. the crab claws in butter, lemon and garlic were such a tasty bite and the granatapfel martini was exactly what was necessary. the trout-mandelin special flowed with mandela and the kalbsmarsala was delicious and sweet. a divided tiramisu was our last choice and it was perfect. our server were knowledgeable and interactiw with good timing.

Love this neighboring restaurant. has always delicious eating w/great service. ideal and safe location in jefferson parish. enjoy the uptown NOLA restaurants, but the criminal doctor keeps us in metairie and this restaurant not to deliver as our favorites in uptown. drinks perfectly mixed, good menu selection, eating comes hot and the service was excellent. also liked the private small room back. only 3 tables in there wondered if we were ignored by waitstaff, but that's exactly the opposite! so there is a cozy wait between drinks, appetizer, main course dessert. reservations required on a Saturday night.

Awesome as always. Dan our waiter is the best. Grilled chicken and pasta and the chicken parmigiana were both delicious.

Food is always amazing such a great family owned restaurant.

GREAT service, great food! My date had eggplant parmesan, I had grilled chicken and pasta. She ate almost all of it (and she is not a big eater but it was delicious), and the grilled chicken was thin AND tender, which is a rarity. Dan our waiter was extremely attentive but not overly so, and the restaurant was clean and very quaint. We were sitting next to a table of 10 and the family there was a bit vocal, but they were having fun which added to the fun of the dinner. DEFINITELY would go back. Its like a hidden gem that's been around a long time! 10 out of 10.
