Seafood Shack - Mesquite

I'm not sure if the service recently changed but I have mostly visited their North Dallas location in the past. When I last visited 10/2022 we had to order in line like a fast food place instead of having a wait staff direct us to a table/menu. I dontfeel like this is the best approach to this style of food since everyone is ordeing meals that take a long time to prep anddrinks.

I truly cannot understand why people choose to dine at this restaurant. The rice is consistently undercooked and the shrimp soup lacks flavor. Have the chefs or owners ever tasted their own dishes? It seems as though they intentionally make the rice hard. Additionally, the female staff members, especially the short, chubby one, are often rude. On the other hand, the male employees are always friendly.

I wish we had known about this restaurant earlier. The fried catfish and fried butterfly shrimp are both delicious. The sampler for 2 was also excellent. We will definitely be coming back to this place more often!

We?ve eaten here for years and never had an issue until Saturday. My husband always gets the same thing. Saturday he was told they couldn?t sell 1 piece of fish. Mind you we got a large shrimp cocktail an order of shrimp tostadas. So my husband got thekids fish which came with fries and a drink. We were told we could get the drink only the fish and fries. The fish was stripsnot a filet and was rubbery. Being we?ve gotten a piece of fish numerous times before without a problem. It really wasfrustrating and my husband didn?t eat the fish because it was chewy.

I absolutely adore eating seafood, and this restaurant is fantastic.
