Bidrage med feedbackWe were and enjoyed the restaurant a few years ago when it was led by previous owners and wondered if it could be so good this time. that was it! excellent at every level. welcome. ambiente. restaurant decoration. atmosphere. selection of dressed and...menus wines. in short, everything. the photos on the website are exactly as the food is presented. we went twice in a week, once alone and then two days later with four friends who were all enthusiastic. I wish we had lived closer.
This is the first time that the evaluation does not have the quality, interior or service. 7 minutes too late and apologise to the waiter/host arrogant, to tell us that next time we have to be on time. first impression. the interieur is outdated (80’s-*90’s look) and... quickly depressing. the small toy aquarium with a fish in it was the final touch. eating was like the inner and the service, seemingly good intentions with a serious scare of arrogance. it started with dried amuse bouches in a baked. the sauces are very, very rich and there is too much focus on a strong palette per dish. to finish a positive note, the desert was in order.
The food here was excellent. Not to the level of the top Michelin starred restaurants by any means but excellent and imaginative. Price fitted the quality - around Euro 130 for 2 people with wine. The Loire wines were very good and service excellent. A good place if you have had your fill of holiday BBQs and want a night away from the kids.
Our lunch was special in each course was a beautiful combination of ingredients, preparation and presentation. Delicious.
We dined here to celebrate a friend's birthday; it's a great place for that special occasion. It's encouraging to find there are still good value restaurants in western France that take pride in serving up the best regional cuisine. Service is friendly and personal from the moment you arrive. The restaurant is split into 2 small rooms, one overlooking an attractive courtyard, so there is an intimate atmosphere. Everything is done correctly but not too formally. The emphasis is on your enjoyment of their cooking. Our table all chose from one of the set menus; even so we had difficulty choosing between tempting dishes. Naturally there is plenty of fish and shellfish on offer. The wine list is quite extensive and has some interesting to Loire valley and Bordeaux appellations to taste. We all admired the standard of cuisine in every course; it's quite unusual to find such consistency from amuse bouche to desert.
